Notes for Pearl Eva BRYAN

When Pearl Eva Bryan was born she had six half-brothers, one half-sister and five full brothers on her arrival. She was born in the town of Summerberry, Saskatchewan on the second floor of the building that would later become the post office. Each time Pearl did something different her brothers would tease "What else could you expect from a town girl."

In a letter dated 1919 from her father to her half-brother, Bill (or "Willie" as he was called in the letter), James Colin Bryan writes: "The baby [Ada] is doing fine is very good can sit along has got one tooth out.  Peral and leslie has good fun swinging in a hamick on the veranda.  the other two boy gos to school every day.  The trustees furnishes tickets to ride on the B.C.E. cars to and from school.  They only walk about as far as you do to your barn.  am geting the daily Paper and it is throwen of the car every day at 3 o'clock and Peral runs and gets it so that is very handy."
